US Intercollegiate Chorale

The United States Inter-Collegiate Chorale
is a summer study and performance opportunity for exceptionally qualified collegiate singers from across the country. Following annual auditions, a 50-voice mixed ensemble will be chosen for two weeks of residency in New York City followed by one week of tour performances at northeast venues, including New York, Boston and Washington, DC. The 2011 dates are Saturday, June 25 through Saturday, July 16.

Dr. Craig Arnold The founding music director and conductor is Dr. Craig Arnold, Artistic Director of Manhattan Concert Productions and experienced collegiate conductor having served as Director of Choral Activities at Luther College in Decorah, IA, Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, and Capital University in Columbus, OH
How to Qualify

Participating student singers will be selected by recorded audition and college conductor recommendation. Participants must have attended college (graduate or undergraduate) during the 2010-2011 academic year. Click the buttons below for further details and forms to be downloaded.

While in New York City Residence...

Students participating in the United States Inter-collegiate Chorale will receive meals and housing on a college campus in Manhattan; have daily sectional and full ensemble rehearsals; have the opportunity for singing and conducting master classes, lectures and panel discussions led by New York City professional singers, actors, producers, and conductors. Attendance at one show and one concert included in the price of tuition. Additional free time allows participants to further enjoy concerts, plays, musicals and other NewYork City culture.
